Zombina and the Skeletons: I was a Human Bomb for the FBI / I
Love RocknRoll
This elctroclash New York hipster style band are from Liverpool
and go by the name of Zombina and the Skeletons. They have an energy
about them and harbour their own unique style of garage punk, but seem
slightly over hyped to my hears (what’s with the Beach Boys
comparisons?!) the songs tend to get a tad monotonous and there is a
increasingly apparent absence of melody. To me, all that ZATS can
(hope to) provide, is something for the posers at sweaty electroclash
nights with a couple extra minutes of punky garage to wiggle their
hips to, nothing more. They’re not up there with the legends that
Liverpool is famous for, but I guess I’d rather listen to this lot
then The Coral la. |

ZEANO
I asked my collegue what can you say about Zeano and their reply was, “A bit Guns and Roses”. Not sure about that, but can you remember the film From Dusk Till Dawn. When they are in Mexico and the band is rocking in the background. Or the kind of music you may picture yourself driving through the desert listening to with the windows open. Then this may be Zeano you are listening to!
