Idee Fixe
More fine music and further proof that not everyone in Essex is an
aspiring celebrity hairdresser or a Reebok Classic clad inbred oik. In
this case, 26 year old Lee Yates a.k.a Idee Fixe who hails from East
Tilbury. Amidst the blissed out haze of the five tracks on offer here
we get snatches of a budget Kid Loco, reverb drenched rim shots,
hushed vocals and a definite 4 a.m.
I'm-still-fucked-on-the-drugs-where-have-my-mates-gone?…vibe to it.
Melancholy chill out of the highest calibre. Contact:

InnerVision: Lost Soul / Midnight Sunshine / Taken
Pub rock/metal from InnerVision, a band who claim to add "all sort
of musical style" including funk, rap and jazz. Far from the truth, I
couldn't hear a single ounce of John Coltrane or Parliament amongst
this lot. What we are presented with instead are 3 trashy metal
workouts oscillating between halftime and full. 'Lost Soul' has some
nice discordant guitar work and there is a lot of good dense riffing
going on across the 3 songs but you also accumulate a sense of
monotony listening to them. It would be better to utilise some of
those styles mentioned earlier boys, then who knows what the future
might bring. Go check the inner site:
