Elmo
Elmo is mild mannered, twenty something Owen Gillam and his music
teaching wife, cooking up homely, charming little instrumental
vignettes. So lovely is the plethora of music here it is surely the
best 'local' music I have heard for time. This is life affirming stuff
with more ideas in one tune the most local rock bands can muster up in
their lamentable careers. Think the undoubted genius of Brian Wilson's
post sandbox and LSD influenced paeans to God. Think the uber soulful
electro-acoustics of the Morr Music roster. In short, glorious, lush,
lo-fi, incidental music that basks in the perpetual warmth of the sun.

Elements
A lucrative band is always a good thing. These guys working on bringing in a big crowd all paying can’t be too far from what it’s all about!
When sitting down with a bag of over 100 demos and pulling them all out at random to review it is always a pleasure with each new act. Track 2 I would have put first. Nice vocal and production sounds better and more commercially viable then the first few mins of the first track. Take a US harder green day style rock band, then you are getting there. Keep it up guys. Sounding good!
