Big Brother's Nadia gets record deal
Nadia Almada, the transsexual who triumphed on Britain's Big Brother TV reality series, has landed a record deal working with Charlotte Church's producer.
Almada, 27, will release a single written by Danny Kirsch, who wrote Church's Top 10 hit The Opera Song, and Stuart Langelan, Sky News reported Friday.
They are two top songwriters and have met with record label bosses who agree that with Nadia on board it can't fail, an unidentified source said.
Almada, from Portugal, gained notoriety on the Big Brother series for her gender crossing lifestyle and her throaty cackle.
She may not have the best voice in the world. There were a few high notes she couldn't reach so she talked some lyrics. But the final result will sound very professional, the source said.
