Following the success of their first single Do It 2 Me which featured in National Charts at number 26 on the download chart and 31 on the official singles chart, Cushh returns with another gem from their forthcoming album titled “I Can’t Stop”.
Described by Radio 1’s JK and Joel on the Radio 1 Chart Show as the UK’s answer to ‘The Black Eyes Peas’ Cushh - comprised of South Londoners Miss Nic’ola and E˛ - have successfully produced a unique blend of Funk, Pop and R&B.
Cushh have sold over 6,000 downloads, sold over 4,000 CD singles through retail (Virgin & HMV) and sold a thousand more via word of mouth, in total achieving over 11,000 sales within 3 months all done independently.
Get on the Dance floor showcases the vocal talents of Miss Nic’ola and the song writing skills of E2, and demonstrates why their music catches so much attention and their heart felt lyrics striking a chord with audiences everywhere. Cushh have been hard at work bringing their energy, and chemistry to audiences around the UK and recently to Las Vagas, U.S.A.
So much so that Cushh caught the attention of hit music video director Daniel Zirilli….. Zirilli had Cushh fly out to LA so that he could direct their latest video – Zirilli has shot videos for The Rolling Stones, Three Six Mafia, Scarface, Master P and 2Pac…and describes Cushh as ‘a wonderful draft of fresh air’ after working with them, ’their enthusiasm and dynamism will take them far’. The video for Get on the dance floor, features cameo appearances from Daniel Costner, nephew of Legendary Hollywood actor Kevin Costner and Alex Quinn son of two-time Academy Award® winning actor Anthony Quinn.
Still independent, Cushh are looking to build on the success of their first single and when you consider that within a month of being on Myspace (www.myspace.com/cushh ) Cushh were listed as a top 5 act and to date have received over 161,000 plays, have over 16,000 friends and over 121,000 views. .
Cushh are determined to take their message to more people and have been on the road touring for the past 2 years, doing more than 300 shows including performances at major UK arenas such as Wembley Arena, Manchester MEN Arena, Birmingham NEC, Cardiff CIA, Sheffield Arena and Newcastle Arena.
