DDQ the R&B group was formed in 2001 by Dontavious Vancliff in Philadelphia, the group consist of four (4) members all from Philadelphia; Brian Seagraves 19, Omar “Osinee” Alexander 18, Dontavious “DJ” Vancliff 17, and Josh Banks 20. Groups such as New Edition, Jodeci, and the Jackson 5 have inspired them. They have blended the sounds of their favorite groups to come up with the DDQ Sound. After two (2) years of practicing and performing cover tunes, DDQ was introduced to Osinee’ s cousin Charlene who at the time was doing some A&R work for an independent label called KeyLife Records. After that chance meeting, Charlene put them in her car and drove them to one of KeyLife’s executives door for a not rehearsed performance. After hearing the young gentlemen, they were immediately signed to a development deal and put in the studio. Since that day in November, DDQ has developed over ten (10) songs and even shot a video for their debut single “Stuck on Freeze”.
In August 2004, DDQ performed at the Billboard Hip Hop and R&B Music Conference in Miami where they were given a standing ovation by Billboard staff and attendees.

In August 2004, DDQ was asked to perform at Philadelphia’s most prestigious summer event, Unity Day where they open up the R&B stage.

DDQ is currently putting together a College Promotional Tour. In addition, they are in negotiations with Concert Promoters to be the opening acts for such artist as Jill Scott, Gerald Levert, Alicia Keys, and Chingy.
DDQ, which stands for “Don’t Doubt or Question”, is destined to be the next big thing out of Philly.

While attending LaGuardia H.S. of Performing Arts, Nikiya joined the All City Choir and performed throughout the Tri-State area. Also, Nikiya worked with Amas Musical Theatre which is founded by the late Rosetta Lenoir from the T.V. show Family Matters. During her teenage years, Nikiya went through very trying times and remembers when the piano, notebook and pen where her only friends. Music became Nikiya's outlet and helped her heal her wounds. Now, her mission is to help others by sharing her experiences and providing encouragement and hope. Her message is about overcoming fear, doubt, self-esteem issues and despair. Through faith, self- evaluation, respect, perseverance and love, Nikiya underwent a drastic change for the better and expresses the process in her music. By incorporating different genres into her music, Nikiya is able to cater to a large audience. For Nikiya, its all about the message. Hi i started this whole thing years ago, i was at the stage school that james bourne(BUSTED) went to and me him and some other guys were all musically talented, he however went on to go sky high and i was left to try and pull something off myself. ive got myself and another guy and we both sing and dance well, we've performed in front of audiences and the receptions been mad. Thing is i now need to find two other guys who can sing and dance to form a group together. i know that with enough effort and time i can get a group good enough for a number 1 together. James got busted together and his parents think i can do well so this is the only chance i got. Just thought id ask if youd be willing to find me two guys that can be serious and commited to this. Its all comes under RnB but the exact type of group im starting is like B2K but a british version. I haven't seen a group released that will be like us at all. Saxophonist J. Plunky Branch is an experienced performer, songwriter and music and film producer, and he is president of N.A.M.E. Brand Records, through which he has released 25 albums. At one time Plunky was a studio musician for television's top-rated sitcom, "The Cosby Show. His song “Every Way But Loose” was a top-ten soul music chart hit in London in the 1980’s. He has appeared on avant-garde jazz albums by Pharaoh Sanders, Hamiett Bluiett and others. Nowadays Plunky spends his time leading his bandmates onstage playing rousing funk, R&B, jazz, African, reggae, gospel and rap and making music in his recording studio.
Plunky’s European tours have taken him to England, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He twice toured Ghana, West Africa, once for the Ghana National Commission on Children, and again as a cultural specialist for the U.S. Information Agency. Plunky’s career accomplishments are as varied as his music and his diverse interests, which include: African art and culture, history, digital technology, politics and the media. In addition to being a veteran saxophonist and composer, J. Plunky Branch has served as an administrator, lecturer and teacher. He has been a frequent arts panelist for the Virginia Commission for the Arts, the Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). Plunky is a two-time recipient of NEA Jazz Fellowships and he was appointed to the Governor’s Task Force for the Promotion of the Arts in Virginia. He has been Director of the Jazz Ensemble at Virginia Union University as well as an instructor of Afro-American Music History at Virginia Commonwealth University, both in Richmond.
Recognized by Richmond Magazine as Musician of the Year for 1999, Plunky is a sought after artist-in-residence and performer for public schools systems. He has written film scripts, journals of his travels, poems and over 200 songs.
Throughout his career Plunky has entertained and taught thousands, and in the process, has developed a broad and loyal following. During his 1987 West African tour, critics proclaimed Plunky "one of the greatest living saxophonist!" In a context where rhythm, ritual, power and emotion reign supreme, he just might be!

Finally, after many delays Ricco Robinson's Debut album is here!! With over a thousand songs in the can, "Pieces," has been concieved. This album is truely a honest, artistic yet commercial piece of work. Throughout " Pieces," Ricco talks about infedelity, love at first sight, sensuality and even marriage. I don't really consider myself a songwriter as much as I consider myself an artist. Yes I am a songwriter but when I recorded this album every song was a personal experience. Those songs were written before I touched the pen. I believe that honesty in music is the best way to connect with your audience. It's the onIy way I write. Ricco resume in music isn't to shabby either. At nine he began writing songs, by 13 he was in the studio. The very next year he recieved a job with "The Levine School Of Music. In the same year Ricco attended "The Duke Ellington School Of Arts majoring in vocal music." He also attended Prince Georges Community College studying Piano. All these musical experiences changed the course of his life pushing him to be the artist he is today. With Ricco's new album "Pieces," he is ready to take the world by storm.
